DH has just left to do the car boot sale. Luckily it is dry and bright as a terrible day weather wise was forecast. We had hailstones here yesterday! I'm having trouble sleeping at the moment, been awake since 5am and DD is still snoozing!

Fingers crossed DH returns with an empty car and lots of money!

My OH is doing his first Saturday on call today and was gone at 7.30am. He's also like yours in the fact that he doesn't have time for a lunch break and often comes home with his lunch. His hours are 37.5 but we both know that he's doing a lot more than that :(

Re: clothes. I haven't sold baby clothes before but if it's anything like our car boot it'll all eventually get mixed up and people pick out what they want - it's almost savage sometimes!

I've sent DH with big plastic storage boxes for the clothes so people can rummage! People almost want stuff for nothing though don't they.

I hope the weather holds for your carboot sale and everything disappears! It's dreadful here... should have done the washing yesterday as it was lovely all day right up until about 6pm when we had a storm :(

We made the grand sum of £15 profit! DH came home a little while ago as it started to rain heavily and he said he'd never seen a crowd disappear so quickly! Now I have to think of how to sell everything we have left - there is soooo much! It can stay in the car for now, I like the playroom looking so tidy!

Sepa I think they have forecase rain everywhere today, it's just so dull!

Exactly. And it's an extra kick in the teeth when you have a walk around yourself and see it on someone else's stall at an inflated price!

    Snap! :rotfl:

We don't have a tumble dryer so I'm hoping OH's work clothes dry in the airing cupboard :D

Have just set up another OP for £43 to leave account tomorrrow (paypal, carboot and TCB money). I had set one up for £65 over the weekend but it doesn't look like it's gone through so I have reset it for £108 to leave tomorrow so need to keep an eye on this and see what goes out. If the £65 goes out twice I'll just transfer it across from savings and replace when I get paid next week.

It's rained all day here, almost didn't mind going to work as even though DH had a day off we wouldn't have had a 'family day' and gone anywhere.

All this rounding up with OP's and rounding down with the mortgage balance is so addictive. Just noticed i've OP £1918 this year, surely I need to find an extra £82?? That means over £6000 has been paid to the mortgage since the start of the year - it's such a lot of money and will all be mine when i'm MF!

Might have someone interested in DD's baby clothes which is a bonus as they all came back from the car boot sale! Just hope it's not another time waster. A colleague might be having a bag of stuff too - waiting to see if she likes them but it's all stuff from NEXT so can't see her being disappointed.

Managed 100 points on GTM this morning so going to try and push for payout again on there soon.

Had a really rubbish day, being !!!!!! on by a bird was far from the worst part! If anyone has any tips on dealing with being put in your place by management please let me know as I just keep getting bothered/upset by it :(

    Options

    1. Smile, grit your teeth, put up with it.
    2. Smile, grit your teeth and look for another job.
    3. Decide it is bullying, keep a diary and your ears open for other victims then shop him/her.
    4. Ask to speak privately and express your concern at the way you are being treated.

You will know in your heart which is right...maybe chat to union rep?
