I have been and it is good, hope you all enjoy!
You are soooo organised and seem to be on the ball with everything!!
Right, I am off to take action and get organised!!

It was good, DD is possibly a little young but enjoyed many aspects so we bought annual membership as it only cost £14 extra and I have a few friends who go and it is sooooo close to home. Also DH paid the admission so it frees up the cash in the joint account for me to overpay again! I also asked him to post the ebay parcel this morning so think I have got away with not paying for that either! :D

Earthgirl, no one is more organised than you! Juggling 3 jobs to become mortgage free by 30 :j

I think DD was worn out after her science expedition, slept for 2 hours this afternoon and asked to go to bed at 7pm - not quite asleep yet but shouldn't be long!

Oh i do love the mortgage calculators :D I was curious to know what month we have saved so far and what this months OP of £350 will save.
    • So far have saved 5 months (new MF date August 2029)
    • £350 OP this month saves another month (new MF date July 2029)
    • If OP £250 a month July-Dec = £1500 and should knock another 4 months off mortgage (new MF date Mach 2029)
    • Then if OP £150 a month Jan-June (end of maternity leave) knock another 2 months off (new MF date January 2029)
This means we will have shaved a year off the mortgage and the above OP's are realistic even though our income will be reduced due to me taking maternity leave. Just need the interest rates to remain unchanged or it will mess up my figures :D

I am proud of this as just worked out that our normal mortgage payments are 31% of our total take home pay. I am just pleased that early on in my journey significant (well, to me) changes are happening and I can definitely see the rewards of making OP's.

I think this will be a good post for me to look back on too as it summarised what we have achieved so far. Also explained it all to DH and he was quite encouraging! :j

It's a really good motivator. I used www.thismuchiknow.co.uk to do my calculations. Hopefully we can smash our targets as wages go up etc, I get a payrise in October and hopefully promotion in the future. It's just so good to see that making an OP of £350 which is half our monthly payment shaves a month off the term. :)

Calling all TOLUNA members, i downloaded the Toluna app for my i-phone today and it seems you can answer surveys quite easily that way. I still need to take Pammy's tips on board to maximise points though.

Have just spend ages doing an online shop for Mr S only to try and checkout and realised my £10 off code was for non-grocery items only

Am now wondering whether to go ahead and order and just pay the delivery code (if i go to the store I will probably pick up items I don't need) or try and re-order in DH's name? Not done this before but I have a code for first timers! :) Just not sure if I have time to do it again as I want to get housework done before work this afternoon.

Also have a free delivery code for NEXT and they did send me £5 for my birthday so need to have a look at the brochure for something that costs about £5, maybe some baby stuff?

Think i'll do the hoovering then at least can do the order while I have a sit down!

Well the code worked so I'll transfer £10 across to savings later. Didn't actually take that long to do and I'm looking forward to cooking lots of yummy food next week after meal planning from my Pampered Chef recipes.

Loving the OP post above, looks really good. I looked on SS and I can realistically reduce my term to 9 years and only up my payments by £20 :) Its so tempting to do it. Would take off another 4 months.

Not too much money making going on as struggling to get and then stay online lately. I blame AOL! The ethernet light isn't on when I'm sure it is meant to be but I have just managed to get online now - very odd. Have been losing connection halfway through surveys which is quite frustrating.

Hope everyone is having a good bank holiday weekend. It feels no different to me due to working and the fact the weather is rubbish.

Hoping DD has an early night and settles well tonight, had a nasty hypo in work (2nd this week) and I'm not sure how to control my blood sugars anymore and ended up having a cry when DH came home as I feel so tired when I've had them. Back to doctors this week i think although i'm not sure he'll be able to do anything.
