Woke up with a shocking headache and low blood sugar. I am not diabetic but suffer 'reactive hypoglycaemia' and just knew it was low. I am almost 100% sure this is due to going back on shifts, typically work 8.5 hours and get one drink during an unpaid break in all that time. I had this problem last year so have related the headaches to this change. :(

Payday so money shuffle done and money sent to bills account. I have sent money to bills account which has sent us back into overdraft but all bills will be paid!
I hadn't budgeted for expenses so have sent that payment to credit card account.

A local crafty page is advertising lots of Christmas products and I really want to place a huge order! Have resisted so far but it's getting harder! :D

Working later so will stalk the postman waiting for job confirmation! Bonus is though I have worked out that by working until the end of next month I will have accrued almost a weeks A/l so wondering if I would be entitled to take my last week of notice period as A/l? Would give me a good break before switching roles. I guess the alternative is to take it as paid which would clear the overdraft!! :D

Mortgage statement has arrived so extra motivation has suddenly appeared! There is a £146 difference In what I thought we owed and what is showing on statement. For some reason statement doesn't show figures to month end like my SS.

Time to set some short term goals!

£50 food shop so now up to £242/250. Just enough left for 3 bottles of wine

    Still no job news!!

Not been 100% today and now have a very sore tum. These shifts really ARE bad for me!

Trying not to check bank until DH gets paid Friday so it looks slightly better when I check!

Feel like I have had a strange week! Not been at home much due to shift pattern and it's unsettling! Need to chase recruitment tomorrow morning as its been almost 2 weeks now since verbal offer. Found out some good things about new team, training etc so just eager to start! :D

Spent £43.50 on Christmas crafty stuff! Also had list for n3xt sale but mostly sold out so not much spent. Small food shop tomorrow, need wine of course as it's Friday. We're out Saturday night but although I'm drinking as DH driving I won't have much as don't expect wine will be £3.29 a bottle!

Exciting day tomorrow as my mum is completing on a house sale after renting for a few years. She has already mentioned overpaying :D

More supermarket spends £9.45 wine (much needed!) and £12.50 on meat and banoffee pie (again much needed!) month total so far 263.96/250. Although over budget I don't think that's bad for a family of 4, children eat healthily but do get through a lot of food and the budget includes wine!

Was taunted twice this morning by a huge spider that decided to keep appearing from different places. I fully expect it to run across the lounge this evening when I am at my most relaxed!

Have spotted a dress in Mr S I noticed in a magazine which I really like. I'm not a dress kind of person but am tall and should probably get over my lack on confidence in dresses! I may just treat myself to it tomorrow while it is still 25% off. Also got a wedding tomorrow night and will probably end up wearing the dress I always wear to go out!

    1. Collect sale items from store
    2. Buy much wanted dress. Do have nectar points I can use
    3. Go for a run after work - need to clear my head!
    4. Find something to wear for tonight

    Have a great Saturday!

It's more a smart daytime dress, don't have footwear for it yet either. Definitely no time for a run and I have just eaten 2 homemade muffins!!

Thanks GreenT, I did have a good look at it once I got it home but it's quite a heavy thick dress so definitely good for daytime over autumn/winter. Did buy a bargain dress when there that was half price at £9 then had a further 25% off which I didn't expect! Wore that last night and felt confident so that's a bonus!

Swimming lessons done for dd, a half hour lesson takes up 2 hours as it's a 40 mile round trip. Just having more coffee before I have to go to work!

Spent about £60 last night which wasn't bad as taxi £25 and I owed £10 towards gift. Had a brilliant night and we rarely go anywhere so happy to blow the budget for a one off.
