problem with samsung sgh-u600

hi, my dads phone has suddenly started making photos on it look weird, it even looks that way when the camera is on ready to take a photo. the 0 button doesnt work properly either. when it is pressed 2 appears instead of 0. so it means apart from the numbers in his contacts he cant call any other number. do you think its kerput or is there something he can do? if its kerput can anyone recomend a reliable, decent phone on pay as you go for around £100 or less on t-mobile?

You would probably be able to get it sorted for £30-40, but its a fairly old phone and there was loads of problems with them so its not worth it imo. If looking for a new on ethe Samsung Monte is decent for about £100

can the samsung monte be relied on. once we have had a bad experience with a brand we tend to avoid it from then on normally.

Yeah they are much better, we have not really has any back as opposed to the u600 which had loads of software faults. In saying that is the handset over 2 years old as Samsung give you a 2 year guarantee with all their phones.

i am not 100% on its age but it probably is over 2 years old. anyway we dont have proof of purchase even if it was less than 2 years old.

It might be better to get a new one then, but bear in mind that if you get a new Samsung it will have 2 years with it.

just been looking and there seems to be more than one samsung called monte. there is the s5620 and the e2550. the s5620 is only available on contract with t mobile. the e2550 is available on pay as you go and only costs £50 on t mobiles site. of course i would shop around for the best price.

It looks to me like the camera is set on 'Negative' photo setting. Start the camera up, press options, and see if there is an option somewhere to change the shooting mode (or something along those lines).

i thought it maybe something in the settings but i've looked and it doesnt seem to be. i reset the main background on the phone to default and it is green and black. it should be red and white.
