  • Lordexavier the 2nd, I'm curious now - has your auction finished yet, and did it go OK?
As has been mentioned, most bidding activity occurs towards the end of auctions. I know a lot of people watch auctions on which they don't plan to bid, and I try not to count my chickens prematurely, but if I had 23 watchers I'd tend to be reasonably confident of more than one bid. On the few occasions I've had 20+ watchers on an item, it's gone for a satisfactory price in the end, although some bidders have waited till the last minute. I've had several items with about 6 or 7 watchers finishing with only 1 bid though.

Yep the auction went well thanks. It finnished last night. I got a little bit less than i was hopping for but still a good price.
    Thanks everyone.
Watch out, you never know who is about.

Last minute bidding is pointless if you really want the item. fair enough if theres lots and you can bid on other auctions but otherwise why risk it? A good strong early bid deters others bidding and instead they go off insearch of an auction with zero bids.

Its the way i work and i do my research. As far as i can see it works too.
