Mattress Toppers

thanks for the measurements
will take a look.
The other ones i have been looking at are
10cm depth and 50kg/m3 density @ £101
or
7.5cm depth and 75kg/m3 density @ £89
Hmm, The first one is too deep (so you could get too hot), and the density is too low (so you won't get very good support).
The second one is still too deep, and the density is too high (so it will be difficult to change position).
Out of the two the second one is by far the best though.0 -
so its a lose lose situation
what size do you suggest? even 5cm seems to slim though

The memory foam is only to mould to your body, and provide even support without causing pressure points. 5cm is enough to do this. If it is deeper then all that will happen is that you will sink deeper into it, and can become too warm.
The optimum density is 60 to 70kg per m3.0 -
if there wasnt so many available it would be easier lol

I recently bought a topper from Its Time for bed. I wanted an odd size for a trailer tent. They were very helpful, cut it to the size I wanted and delivered the next day.
My Trailer tent bed is now much more comfortable (the foam was too hard), though I have to say that my OH finds the memory foam too hot!0 -
what size and density did you have? good to hear there service was good though0
-
It was 5 cm and and 60kg.
Because I wanted it in two pieces for a trailer tent, they cut the appropriate sizes from "offcuts" that they had0 -
Ah right i see, but in theory it was good memory foam just maybe a little too hard for you ? I was looking at 7cm and 60kg you see. I think 45kg may be too light0

The memory foam is fine... it was the existing foam cushions in the trailer tent which were too hard, and once we put the memory foam on it's lovely and comfy. The only problem is that my OH is now too hot. Based on this expererience I wouldn't want one any deeper than 5cm as I think you would sink too deep and get even warmer (which is basically what Tim advises).
We only had it cut into two pieces ( a horizontal cut at about knee level) because of the way the trailer tent folds up and how the memory foam needs to be stored whilst folded/ towing . I only mentioned this to give an example of how helpful the firm were.0 -
Hoops120 is right, you may find 7cm too warm. 5cm is enough for memory foam to do what it is supposed to do. You don't get eny extra support if it is deeper.
Hoops120 als said that their memory foam was 60kg, and 5cm deep, which should be ideal.0
