Poundstretchers are doing a double one instore for £39.99. We bought a king size (£44.99) for our bed and its very comfortable.
EDIT: Just found it online and its only £34.99

EDIT AGAIN: It states 2.5cm thick on the advert but it is more like 5cm.0 -

It does need to be 5cm, or it isn't worth having. Also what is the density, as this is very important?0 -
I have just checked it and it 2.5cm as it says on the website. It is quite dense but not as dense as a Tempur pillow (which I have).
It seems fine on my bed but my bed does have memory foam on it as well. Maybe its the double up effect because the bed was not perfect before buying the extra bit.0 -
TK Maxx do a decent range.
I got a double for £25 and I'm very happy with it.0 -

thanks for the measurements
will take a look.
The other ones i have been looking at are
10cm depth and 50kg/m3 density @ £101
or
7.5cm depth and 75kg/m3 density @ £890
