Laptop not able to find wireless network

My laptop has been working wirelessly without any problems. However it has now decided that it can't find the wireless network. Nothing has changed, all the other laptops are working on the wireless network, and when wired into the router it works fine. How do I reconnect?

Does the laptop have a physical switch for the wireless? If so try pressing it. I know it sounds daft, but the number of times I've caught mine and turned the wireless off by accident is unreal. Especially unhelpful in Win7 as it show the wireless card is working even when it's turned off.0

If not there may be a software switch, usually something that looks like a radio mast. Hold down FN and press the F key it is on at the top.If my post helped you in anyway, please hit the "Thanks" button! Please note any advice I give is followed at your own risk!0 -
Wireless it switched on, just no wireless network neither ours or any of the neighbours.0

Have you tried both of the suggestions above?
Try switching it Off if it is a physical switch then back to on same for the software switchIf my post helped you in anyway, please hit the "Thanks" button! Please note any advice I give is followed at your own risk!0 -
yes, tried all of the above and switching of the modem and router and computer. The wireless network seems to have just disappeared.0

Remove the wireless adapter in device manager and reboot.0

Can you detect any other wireless networks, or is it just yours that has vanished? No free lunch, and no free laptop

No they have all vanished including the neighbours, I can still see them all on this laptop but nothing on mine.0

The wireless adaptor isn't anywhere in device manager. Network adapters say bluetooth is working is that the same???0
-
No, bluetooth is different. It'd help if you copy out the network devices listed in device manager for us to take a look at.........Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple
