    1. Do you do the rub/scratch or the sugar soap clean first? Can you suggest any tools that can aid this?
    Sugar soap to clean first, then scratch, then wie down to remove residual dust. Sponge and bucket and water and sugar soap for cleaning, 240 grit paper for light scratch with suitable hand to apply scratch. Is that what you meant?
    2. Is it worth going with a single coat paint such as Dulux once (I have to say I am tempted!) or should I put 2 coats with normal water based emulsion? Any thoughts?
    Wash your mouth out and stand on the naughty step for 25 minutes. Dulux Once is carp marketing hype. It doesn't. Go for trade spec paint and avoid the 90% water own brand muck from the sheds.
