Happy Hump Day - It's September 1st

Hi Chaps,

Hope you have a lovely day. I'm off to my charity for the day and then for a run on the beach.

Hopefully house is now up on the web and I have to start lining up viewings for my house and also view places in Newcastle. Woooooh

Hi Butti - hope you have a lovely day - run on the beach sounds great!

I'm back at work after five days off - shame as it's a lovely morning. Can't believe it's September already, feels a little bit chilly but am trying to think of nice things to look forward to about Autumn/ Winter.

Looking forward to the gym at lunchtime :D

Have a good day all x

  • Hi Butti, Red and all who follow.

Butti, your run on the beach sounds lovely and I'm sure you'll find tennants for your house.

Red, enjoy your first day back at work. Also saw the pictures of your sewing and I'm impressed.

On a lighter note the OH has got a job working at the Bodliean Library new storage facility. His pay isn't as much as we'd like, but the main thing is, he's now got a job. And as a treat, we;re going to look at buying a new sofa!!

Lots of love, from one happy LMC x

    Hello all.

Butti, hope you find somewhere nice to rent, and some good tenants.

Squizz, enjoy your first day back.

LMC, I'm so jealous of him, I'd love to work in the Bodlean. Hope you find a good sofa.

Morning all, I have an essay to write today (well a decent chunk of it) then an AAT practise exam to do to prove I can go straight into Level 3, hmm not so hopeful.

  • Ames, I know how you feel. It's really funny as I'm the bookworm and would LOVE to work in a library and he's not into books and has got a job working in their new storage centre.

I've got no motivation at all today.
  • Congrats to OH for the job LMC!

Good luck Gemmzie - you'll be fine x

    I miss being a librarian!

In sammy land I seem to be heading in the right direction moneywise. Since starting to work for myself my financial head has been all over the place and I have been moving money here there and everywhere and getting meself into a right lather...well now thanks to some one one main fourm I have downloaded the moneysoft programme and analysed the last six months bank statements and know exactly where I am today and where I hope to be financially in the next twelve months.

It has made me feel so much better emotionally as I was not sleeping for not knowing exactly where I was at...

Went to see the offices yesterday and the idiot didn't even bother to turn up to meet me but I did go into offices outer sanctum and decided it wasn't for me anyway...too grotty. So I am going to look around for office space somewhere else but it needs to be cheap!

  • Thank you for all your kind words, it's really appreciated. It means that his one for one interview/job ratio is still in tact.

It's a weight off of my mind and I'll be albe to sleep properly now too.

Gemmzie, you will be fine I promise.

Sounds like you've really turned a corner with the money stuff - well done :) Hope you manage to find some non-grotty offices!

  • What a beautiful day it is. Had 15 minutes standing out in the lovely warm sun this morning on a sneaky phone call which was a nice escape for a bit :D

At home over lunch. I get 30 minutes for lunch between head changes but afternoon manager is at the other office today so what the hell, I'm being a rebel for a change so will have an hour

Still full of cold, but it's getting towards the end of the week already so lots to be positive about. :D
