I'm going to malawi on a charity building project this October. The local school in our project village has highlighted the need for exercise books (the old style like we used to use in primary school) Does anyone know any generous companies that might donate some?
Thanks
Thanks

Have you tried your local branch of Staples? Fashions come and go with exercise books and this summer's hot brands will be passe by the autumn and they may well want to get rid of their old stock.0

Thanks, i'll contact them and see if they are feeling generous :-)0

Are you in NI? and going with B.R.A? if so what about Easons, bargain books, poundworld, poundland, or some of the newpapers, Belfast Telegraph news letter etc... just a few suggestions..0

Contact your local paper, get them to run a story. I am sure you will then be inundated with offers!
Oh and try your local radio station as well - both BBC one, and the commercial one. In fact, more so the commercial - they may have good contacts that they can utilise.0 -
I'm based in London, so must be going on a different trip to BRA. I'll try all the pound shops in the area and see if i can find anything. I have written to some of the bigger stationary shops, but not heard anything back yet. I also try the local paper. Thanks for the suggestions.0

Why don't you try going straight to one of the main suppliers of them - Rhino - they produce majority of the exercise books in the schools and also a range that sell in places like WH Smith, Staples etc.....they can only say no!0
