After all, the proof of the [STRIKE]pudding[/STRIKE] pie is in the tasting and I'm your lass for the job ;):D:D:D

I really wish you could. I'd love a second opinion! I liked it, but it's no guarantee anyone else would.

Are you crazy? That's what the RAC is for. I have made a solemn promise never to open up the bonnet on my car, I begrudgingly put air in a tyre when it was flat but changing a wheel, have you lost your mind?
  • Don't worry Tigs. You don't have to open the bonnet to change a wheel.Probably. Unless the jack is kept under the bonnet :p
Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).
  • It's all been great fun, thank you both -

Our meal was served late because of this thread:rotfl: but it was worth it.

If you are looking for ideas for the next session how about

A handmade loaf, either shaped as a plait or cottage loaf
    Lemon Meringue pie
    Battenburg cake
    or
Toad in the hole with onion gravy

Ooh, Lemon Meringue Pie, an absolute favourite of mine. I would love to take part in another cook off but am absolutely shattered and need some time to recuperate.

Me too - exhausted and a bit too full. :o

I've got to do an apple pie or crumble to use up the apples I've been given, and sort out pickling the rest of me shallotts, but I'm fit for nothing at the moment! :rotfl:

The thread didn't disappoint, hilarious. Well done with the pies, they do look lovely and scrummy. :T

I'm off to read the other cooking threads that Rikki mentioned.

    Well done!!

(Are you sure you don't want to do the apple toffee cheese crumble thing Mr BE??)
