Read the thread before the article- after reading the vanessa feltz comments was expecting a right hound. Shes OK :) & TBF if I had those legs I'd want designer jeans too :D

Said on another thread recently, BR enquiries are through the roof ATM. And there are a huge amount of people who do plan it ahead (when they predict they will be out of credit) which is the worrying thing

    "Insecurity issues" my backside!

It's about time we dropped this discredited psychobabble and got back to some plain speaking. She is an irresponsible idiot who has almost certainly gone as far down this path as she has because she has been allowed to make excuses for her idiocy and never had to face the consequences of it.

Sadly, the law has been reframed by other believers in psychobabble, so she will still not properly reap the consequences of her own behaviour. It's time they were brought to account for the societal damage they have done, too.

Behaviour has consequences. It's really quite a simple thing to understand.

    Spot on.

Idiots like this deserve to end up in the gutter.

They had f*ck all, thought they were loaded because of borrowed money, and now have to go back to having f*ck all when the borrowed money is no longer there.

Isn't 'successful and respected WAG' a bit of an oxymoron? ;)

In all seriousness, are there any of the famous WAGs that you'd hold up as role models for young women? Can't think of any of the top of my head really. Maybe Aby Clancy? But I'm sure she was found snorting coke somewhere one a upon a time wasn't she? I'm not saying this is a truly awful thing, but maybe takes you out of the 'respected' catgory.

I dated a footballer for two years in my younger days. In reality there are all kinds of women dating and marrying football players. It is only a small handful of women who give the rest a very bad and tawdry name. In terms of role models, I'd say Kelly Hoppen, ex-girlfriend of Sol Campbell stands out. Unfortunately the WAGS that you think of are the ones that make the news. The others are too busy with their careers and/or families.

There have always been women who go all out to date footballers. They look the same, behave the same and get played by the men because they know exactly what they are like and where to find them.

Many women who date/marry footballers are just going out with a guy they happen to really like/fall in love with, the same as anyone in any profession. Parts of the life are hard: you can never go out together on a Friday night after you've had a busy week at work for example because they have a match the next day, and when you do go out together women will throw themselves at your partner even though they can see you are with each other. Equally for the guy involved there are trust issues as they never know whether she is only after him for his money.

There are some footballers who are total sh*ts and some WAGs who are totally deserving of them. There are also some lovely, suprisingly erudite (and very fit) guys who know they can do a lot better than a gobby, thick, pneumatic orange person with fake hair.

How is that 'psychobabble'? It's a bit annoying when you say anything other than 'throw her in debtors prison', you get labeled as sprouting psychobabble.[/QUOTE

The following is where the psychobabble (call it misplaced moral relevatism if your prefer) comes in:

I agree with you about the 'lifestyle culture'. I also agree with you about the irresponsible banks who lent her the money. Where I disagree with you is with this word 'insecure' - far too often a get out of jail free card for people to excuse their appalling behaviour.

She is not insecure in any meaningful sense. She is just a silly, vain, greedy idiot.

Does Sheree Murphy count as a WAG seen as she is married to Harry Kewell? All yu seem to here of her is in emmerdale, has kids, leaves to raise them few years later back to being a soap star. She seems to be able to balance a family with her career.
