Thats the reason I ticked Internet Access - although I debated in my head about it. The amount of times DD has come home with literally a web address for her homework is (to me) quite astounding.
I chose:
A. Basic TV
B. Boiler (Hot water)
D. Cooker
E. Computer with web access
G. Fridge & Freezer
I. Home phone
M. Washing Machine
and I'm happy with my choices0 -

I guess as some have previously mentioned a lot of people have their priorities all wrong, that's why you always see "benefit scroungers" with 40" flat screen TV with a PS3/xbox 360 and a big leather sofa but no wall paper on their walls.
My guess is that that's partly because you can get a television and sofa on weekly or monthly instalments, but you can't get decorating done that way and not everyone is confident to decorate their own place, not to mention that it can take time to save up for a ladder, a wallpaper table (unless your kitchen table is big enough), wallpaper and paste.
I've done decorating, but if I had a choice between wallpaper and something for the family to sit on, I would seriously consider the seating as a priority.0 -

Yes they do have computers at libraries but how can you guarantee to get one every night for homework, especially if every other Money Saver is doing the same?0 -

Currently 69% think central heating is essential. I wonder what percentage of houses/flats etc have this. Most rented places in my area don't have it. Obviously some form of heating is needed but there are plenty of other ways to heat rooms.0

Oh, heck! I am going to disagree with Martin!
Unless you are living in a town, you probably would not have access to a laundrette.
There's also the cost involved - laundrettes are not cheap. Much cheaper to have your own, were you can sort and not have to shove everything in one load to save money, then wreck some clothes.
Time is a factor - who wants to be sitting. waiting for the washing to finish! There isn't really a dishy guy stripping to "Heard on the Grapevine', is there?Member #14 of SKI-ers club
Words, words, they're all we have to go by!.
(Pity they are mangled by this autocorrect!)0 -
I think the expectation is that if you live in Britain today you will have everything !!!!
However I only ticked washing machine, cooker, fridge freezer and boiler. schools provide computer clubs for those needing to do homework but have no access at home. ( at Least my school does !)
Despite us having computers and games consoles in the house my children would much rather be outside on their bikes or playing with their friends.
I would also be upset if they had no manners0 -
I forgot to add their is no laundrette in my reasonable sized town !!!!!0
