'What's a necessity in modern living?' poll discussion

Yes Becky but is it REALLY essential that your kids change clothes so often???
My toddler son has a change of clother every day but often his clothes aren't actually dirty - it's what we seem to expect in society these days - in times gone by people would wear the same things more than once without washing them (and in current times in the student world!). I'm not saying wear it and be smelly, but if you had to do without a washing machine for any length of time you might find ways to cut down on the amount of stuff that's chucked into your washing basket by your family! Having loads of friends with slightly older kids my observation is that kids do tend to get thhrough 2 changes of clothes a day for some reason. Sure mine will be the same!

I can't access the poll - has it finished?
I think (although it's not on there) the most important is a roof. - It's the one thing you should pay as soon as you get your wage, is your rent. Thank you to everyone!

I think the poll assumes that the most basic needs are met (food, shelter etc).0
