Morning all
Blue skies again today but it's really nippy - just hope I can hold out on the heating til October!
Didn't sleep very well last night so I'm aching this morning - have to pick up some equipment on Friday from the hospital to measure my oxyge levels while I sleep...should be interesting!
I have brough LO lasagne out of the freezer for lunch and I'm not sure what's on the plan for dinner - might be omlettes and chips I think. Could end up being dominos
Right better go - apparantley I'm here to w*rk...Climbing back on the OS wagon after a short vacation to Recklessness

Morning All,
It's a gorgeous day here today again

My OH is up and about this morning, we are having "couple time" but in a non Hester-way
he is going shopping for new trainers and we are starting to look at sofas so that I have an idea about decor and what I fancy for the C*******S sales, my plan is to hopefully fall in love with two or three and then buy the cheapest at the time. We'll see if that works....
Washing is in the machine, dishes piled in the sink, ready for me (boo hoo washing dishes is my very least favourite thing, I hate it even mofe than ironing) Boys off to school with HM chicken tikka subs for lunch and chocolate croissants which were a bit heavy but I'm sure they won't complain. My sister is coming up after school with the baby and her son, sister is a gannet, so will stick a cake on for her when I come back, probably just some sort of traybake sponge, which can then become school snacks. Dinner tonight will be lucky dip, in fact I have some defrosted veggie mince so maybe some chilli and wraps or baked potatoes.
Have a good day all, hugs for Jellybaby and Kezlou and NPM, andyone in general need. Haven't seen Souk for a while, hope the new job is going OK.

Morning all,
Well, the sun is shining here today, though I haven't been out, so don't know if its chilly or not. I've got a load of towels in the WM, with another load to go on afterwards and possibly the bed to change if I can be a*sed.:p
I'm due an AVON delivery this morning, so will have a quite a lot of orders to sort out and deliver over the next few days. I'm glad its the last one before baby Cub arrives.:)
I have already got a few xmas presents sorted out from avon though - reps get great prices! We thought we might do baby photobooks for the parents, but I have ordered a few avon bits as something personal to open too, plus an aftershave set for my brother.:T
We cooked a 7kg turkey last night, so I've got that to carve and sort out and freeze today, if I can even lift it out of the fridge! :rotfl: OH's parents get given a turkey at work each xmas, and as they both work at the same place, they got 2 turkeys last year. One was used at xmas, and one was sat in our deep freeze until a couple of days ago! I figure with the baby on the way, some cooked meat for dinners, sarnies etc will be useful, and very moneysaving:money:. The in laws aren't interested in having any of the meat as far as i'm aware, but i will double check.
I cooked a ham hock from the butchers yesterday and thought it was really good value. It cost £1.50, and yielded 290 grams of lean meat. If you compare that to what prepacked ham costs in the supermarket, its much cheaper :money:. OH thought it was a bit bland though, so I might have to investigate cooking it in a different way. (I just simmered it gently with some peppercorns, bay leaves and celery yesterday.) Any ideas gratefully recieved........ I keep hearing about a nigella recipe of gammon cooked in coke, but have never tried it and don't know if it would work with ham hocks?
I think we might have stuffed peppers for tea tonight. I usually make a stuffing from some cooked rice, cream cheese, a bit of ham / bacon, fried onions and whatever else is lurking at the bottom of the veg drawer.:D Will see how tired i get, but there's always turkey as another option!
Right peeps, best go and get on with it.....
Take care,
Ali xx
PS If anyone wants to send any labour vibes my way, they'd be very welcome! :rotfl:Even if it started today I reckon cub would still be born in september (which we'd prefer so she's the oldest in the school year not the youngest)

Morning all,
Had a terrible nights sleep, due to OH snoring and making strange noises with his mouth, in the end I shouted at him at 3.45, it drives me mad and I had my ear plugs in  so I have not had a lot of sleep and feel a bit cranky.
I have a small wash on, which I will get on the line, its beautiful again here, typical just as I am back of to work and dd back to school.
Dinner tonight will be yorkshire, sausage and veg, which we did not have last night, so minimum effort there, I also need to do an online shop, and have a good tidy round.
Going to pop up to my mums this morning, her dog has to have cream put on her feet and it takes two people to hold her.
There is a nip in the air in the evenings and mornings, I always try and hold off putting the heating on till Nov 1st, but this house is bigger and more open plan than the last, so we will have to see how we get on.
Ok better get on, have good days all xx0 -
Hi all-lovely here too,bit nippy though, might warm up later.Downstairs needs a good tidy, got a viewer tonight.I don't think I can possibly do all the ironing,so will have to find somewhere to hide it.:D I want to go and visit Auntie in hossy, she was meant to be transferred to intermediate care last Fri.,but she had a fall and was then sick,so she has to be reviewed again, which they weren't doing before today. Its much easier for me to get there than the new place.
Fab day/night out in Manchester on Saturday- the Gay Pride parade was on,so a lively atmosphere.Lots of bars and pubs- I did just have soft drinks in a couple, honest. We ended up having a cheap Chinese meal, then the train home, which is always an experience in itself :rotfl:.Luckily DSons stopped in so the dog didnt miss us too much.
Jelly- hugs to your poor friend, thats so sad.
Redruby- I can only sympathise re DH snoring- mine is just the same.
Better get a move on,have a good day.x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -

We have blue skys, cold winds, and dirty bid cloud on the horizon but its all good!
Thanks for all your well wishes, again.
Laughed at OH last night, he's in so much pain after the run, while i'm sat next still in pain, but able to move.
Not much on today apart from sorting the house and a walk to the market.
Have a good day all!0 -
