Car back at the garage (only passed its MOT on Tuesday and broken already - I'm not paying them again! They are keeping it until tomorrow anyhow). Went for a forest walk with hubby and little one today and took a picnic so didn't spend anything! yippee!Make 2019 in 2019: £1350/20190

:hello:
Hi to all NSD'ers both old and new
Thank you to Spoon for keeping us all going for another month :T
Have tried to catch up but my mind keeps wandering with thoughts of how an International Rubber Day will influence the NSD thread ......or maybe even worse....how NSD'ers will influence International Rubber Day :eek:
Had a wonderful resty time at Mum'sbut did miss you all :grouphug:
Managed to get number 1 on the first so am happyMum did give me some money to get to the train station yesterday which also covered getting home from the station this end so I was tempted to call it number 2 but it didn't sit comfortably as actual cash did change hands so am still saying I only have one so far. The house hadn't been burgled or the car stolen despite all my fears of being vulnerable and thinking the whole world knows I am now dogless
(Mind you if I hadn't been here neither would he so I don't know where that came from)
Today won't be one as I must get electric so I will get petrol too as I was on fumes before I left, am supposed to be seeing a friend tonight so I can't get the shopping done but I am hoping that the cupboards can keep me until Monday as I really can't face shopping on a Saturday . I'm off work till Wednesday and have no envelopes :)so I want to potter around the house a bit and do some cleaning and sorting out old clothes so I hope I can keep myself spend free for the weekendI am doint the 100 day challenge from 1st as well so won't be counting days I pay extra off Barclaycard as that is one of the reasons I am trying not to spend.
Well must be off, hope the car starts :rotfl:
See you all soon

Declaring today as NSD #2, as I've spent nothing so far and have no intention of going back out tonight......
It would actually be too painful to go out even if I were tempted, as I pulled something serious in my left leg on my run last night (ended up walking/hobbling the last section of the club run, and then the 1.7 miles home as I'd run up with the intention of running home again!) I've been getting twinges from a different muscle (which I was told to carry on as normal with, but take painkillers), but only as I set out for a brisk walk or a run. This morning I could barely stand up, and even moving around the house was pure agony
I phoned the GP surgery to see if I could get an appt, to be told that even all the emergency ones had already been taken - and then to be asked if it was something the GP could issue a presciption for !!! Excuse me, how am I supposed to know that  So I explained I'd done something to one of my legs which made standing/moving painful, and that I was concerned as I was due in work this afternoon - with my job meaning I'm on my feet for 100% of my shift, and I didn't want to risk doing any further damage to it. I was then informed that if I could get there for 11:30am (and be prepared to sit around while any surgery over-run cleared) I could be seen as an 'after surgery emergency' - so I did that, and was actually called through at about 11:40
GP poked, prodded and pushed (with me squirming in pain), then had me flexing my foot various ways against his hands before finally informing me it wasn't a thrombosis (hadn't even considered this a possibility), and was just a pulled muscle. He gave me a prescription for strong anti-inflammatories (which I can supplement with pain killers) to be taken 1 tablet 3 times a day with/after meals, and a distinct stress on the necessity to complete the course. Told me I'd be fine to carry on working (todays shift was 'only' 4 hours), and that I should be 'right as rain in 3-4 days'. Went and collected the meds (not a spend as I have an exemption cert that's valid until the end of next June), then came home to grab lunch, take meds, get changed and get out for work - only to discover he's given me enough tablets for 2 weeks, so I'm dubious about the 'right as rain in 3-4 days' !!!!!
(I did actually part with cash in the PO to send a package to a friend in Gibraltar, but she's P@yPal'd the money back so that doesn't count as a spend either)

Evening all! Glad to hear you have come home to the house still standing Kathy...Cheryl, hope you're back standing soon. x
Small spend day for me today, some cleaning bits from Wilko and some other bits from 99p shop so not too bad. Wasn't sure if tomorrow was going to be a NSD or not and it looks like it will be...was just trying to re-hang a canvas that I think we put too high and thought I could get away with using the command strips that were already attached...apparently not, managed to take some paint off the wall on one side and the other side didn't stick so the canvas has just swung off the wall into the radiator :mad: impaling itself on one cornerso its off out tomorrow for a) more command strips, b) a tester pot of paint to cover up the missing bit. Grrrr, annoyed I have damaged the canvas too, it's a picture I took myself in NY. I still have the original and its only on the side at the top so not tooooo bad - don't think I will bother replacing it with a new one but frustrated that had I waited, it could have been avoided
