NSD number 13 for me today, just one more to go now and don't see how i can do it since i am supposed to be taking dear mother grocery shopping tomorrow and i always see offers i want to take advantage off when i am in the supermarket :-(
Still, 13 is a good achievement i think. Well done to everyone for this month even if they have not been as succesful as they would have hoped. Here's to a better month in October (though with Christmas looming on the horizon i expect that it won't perhaps be so easy).Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200

can't find peppermint cordial now & I keep that in the medicine cabinet for upset tumshoobydoobydoo wrote: »Friend of mine couldn't find any peppermint cordial near her so I bought two bottles from Mr M and posted them to her on the South coast!
You can have mine... I used it once at new year because I wanted to drink rum but I don't like fizzy juice. But I decided to stick to my usual bottle of beer. And I've never needed the peppermint cordial since.
I have pepperment tea for tummy upsets (and when there's not a tummy upset in site).

Hi everyone,
#17 for me today! One to go to reach revised target, should make it tomorrow!
Had a lovely lunch with the girls today and it was even nicer when my pal said she was paying for mine as it was her turn. I had completely forgotten about that!:T After putting the money away too!;)
I'm going to use the money to buy some goodies for my box for the shoebox appeal. I'm doing one for a 3-4 yr old child, but you can do any age. I've already got a hat and scarf that I knitted, a knitted teddy from my Mum and colouring books and crayons. Just need to get toothbrush and paste, some wipes, soap and socks, gloves, sweets and some small puzzles/games. We cover the box with Christmas paper and fill it with our goodies and they are sent to Eastern Europe/Asia for distribution. I love doing it and usually end up doing a few!:)
Quiet night tonight as the OH is settled in for a night watching footie! Knitting for me though!:)

Just wanted to add a special congratulations to slowlyfading and elfen, both of whom have smashed and exceeded three targets this month - the first time this has been managed since I started looking after the NSD challenge (or unless someone can tell me something that I've completely forgotten, of course:o).
Well done to you both, I think this deserves a celebration, so champagne is called for I think.
thank youBe who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
