Evening All! despite being seriously tempted by some yummy food in Mr S at lunchtime (I am going through an eat everything in sight, esp if it contains a weeks worth of calories in one slice type thing atm) I resisted the urge to purchase which means I'm up to NSD #14! :j:j that's one more than my Aug achievment and means I only need one more day to get my wee sheep. :):) I do rather need colin the caterpillars threaded but if I leave that until Thurs it means I can pop into Mr M on my way past to see if they have that herb & potato bread and get some 1% milk too, reckon they might survive another day without me being attacked by birds thinking they are lunch :rotfl::rotfl:

Hugs to all. Feeling a bit 'ugh' tonight so gonna watch Jamie O on 4OD and chill. xx

  • Hi everyone, haven't read or posted in a couple of days, but 1 more NSD to add to my total.

My poor legs and arms are killing me after yoga class last night, which must mean its working. :D I'm feeling muscles I never knew I had!

Tomorrow my poor bank account is taking another hit, our hoover pegged out last night so we desperately need another and tomorrow is only day both of us can go. What a fab way to spend a day off! :rotfl:

I won't hit target this month as only 2 more days on month, and tomorrow is a write off. But will see how Thursday goes.

Well done to all hitting and smashing targets, and final big pushhhhh to all like me struggling to get last few ;)

    Grrrrrrrr!!!

Knew I was expecting a D/Debit to go out today - but it was only after checking my a/c this morning and going to mark it as 'paid' in my spreadsheet that I realised there should have been two. The other is my mobile phone contract, and the latest bill says 'payment will be taken on or around 28th'....... with this date being the one the D/Debit has actually gone out on over recent months. So it looks like it'll go either tomorrow or Thursday, meaning there's no way I can exceed my target

As far as today goes, I picked up some more Whoopsies on my way home from work :o

2 packs of shelled and cooked mussels for a total of 80p rather than 95p/pack. A portion is supposed to be half a pack, but I'm not that fond of them so can make one pack do 5 lunches (with pasta and pasta sauce - plus a small helping of grated cheese once in a while if I've heaps of 'spare' calories). These make for mega-cheap lunches, as my plain pasta is 4kg (?) bags I stocked up on a good while back (when on offer) and my pasta sauce is from App F00ds so was also pennies per portion (if that).

I'm now starting on a shopping list of 'must haves' and 'will definitely needs' for next month - top of the list (surprise, surprise) is toilet rolls, as I now have 3 in use (with one almost totally gone) and only three others in the house rolleyes.gif But I'm going to try and hold out until 15th (a definite D/Debit day), as I'll have exceeded 150 days with no toiletries/cleaning spending by then (14th Oct will actually be day 152)..... could be a gibbering wreck by then ;)

I was just reading through some of the posts from the past few days and it struck me that we're all doing (touch wood) rather well this month. Lots of big targets being met or exceeded and great to see so many newbies join us this month (says she, who sounds like an old fart but was a newbie herself last month!). Well done everyone - and remember, there's no such thing as failing on this challenge...only 'not quite making it but doing our best' xx

  • Not one for me today sadly :( the reason: I'm too soft and offered to pay for the shopping we needed instead of my Dad or OH buying it. All the way to the shop I was thinking 'this is spoiling my NSDs' but nevermind, tomorrow is another day!
Those that matter don't mind, and those that mind don't matter :o
