Thomas Cook flight upgrade at check in

I fly to Cuba in a few weeks from Manchester Terminal 1 with Tomas Cook. When i booked my holiday i was offered the option of upgrading from the standard economy cabin to the premium cabin but i decided against it at the time because it was about £160 return for the upgrade.
Provided there are seats available in the cabin when i check in will it be possible to upgrade at check in and are they likely to charge me a lot more than the original £160 difference? or is it likely to be significantly cheaper?
I'm travelling alone and have no preference on whether i have an aisle or window seat. As i'm travelling down to Manchester through the night to the airport i expect to be there before check in opens for my flight so i'll likely be one of the first people on my flight to check in.
I'm assuming that if there are premium seats left they will sell them but i'm not sure if it'll be lots more than the £160 i could have paid or if it'll be a bargain.
