Like others have said, you haven't got yourself into more debt by booking the holiday- it's money you actually have, so go and have a great time!! xx0

You've probably gone, but just wanted to say have a great time. I've just been through the same argument with myself about whether to go on hols or not. Now that I'm back, I'm more determined than ever to get sorted so holidays are back on the agenda again soon!Overpay!0

You've paid off a fantastic amount in the last few months :T, but you know that you are in it for the long-haul (like a lot of us here!) and there is nothing to be gained by burning yourself out, punishing yourself needlessly and never spending a penny on anything "pleasurable" for yourself while you are paying off the debt!
You are not adding to your debt by going on this holiday - this is money you have claimed back from unfair bank charges, which is a "bonus".;) Therefore, enjoy your holiday - like others have already said, its not like you have booked a luxury holiday costing thousands...you have booked a sensible "break" which will enable you to relax and recuperate and come back to the situation in hand ready to fight the rest of your debt right the way down to £0! Who can argue that this is not a good idea...?Certainly not me!!:p
Have a wonderful holiday...and I look forward to seeing you back, refreshed and ready for battle once again against the remaining debt!:D

This is going to be so much better than sticking the "I wanna do/buy this" pics on the fridge. Getting everything sorted is a long drag (as you know), a bit of R&R will be a well a well-deserved boost.

I say have a fantastic time. Me and my boyfriend are going to Skiathos in 11 days time (:j). Both of us are struggling with debts, but it's our first holiday together and we both need the break!!
If you wanna be a little bit of a DFW while you're there, just try and bring back some spending money.... though I'm not going to set myself a figure!!

Go, go, go!! Have a fab time we all need a break and we are going on holiday too next April. Life's too short, it has been booked and paid for so there is no going back now. It has been done through a lot of soul searching though, guilt and rash thinking. Oh well I guess I'll fess up soon on another thread soon!Debtfree JUNE 2008 - Thank you MSE:T0
