We're just about to buy a 2nd hand corsa & the dealer is offering an HPI check for £99 is this the same check you can get on line for around £25 or is this a super dooper check that's worth the money!
I'm a bit confused, anyone got any info?:o

The dealer is ripping you off.0 -

Any dealer worth his/her salt will have HPI'd the car at the time he / she purchased it, so should let you have a copy for nothing.0

I agree however they could argue that due to the fact the car is competitively priced (& it is) it's an add on top of the cost. Just been on the website & they dress it up as this, notice they don't use the term 'HPI'Tell them you will only buy the car on the condition that it passes the HPI check, which is done at no cost to you. If they're buying and selling kosher cars then this shouldn't be a problem.
Cheeky fu*king garages!

Cheeky gits, personally I would avoid them, but it is your money, not mine.0 -

Agreed, i'd not have a car from them if they paid me to take it away.
Don't be surprised if they send an invoice for beer sandwiches and fags for the week too whilst they sat round dreaming up ways to relieve folk from their hard earned.0 -
