help faulty phone
Hi can someone help me please? i sent my t mobile phone for repair as it kept switching off randomly as it was in warranty, however the repair centre didnt repair the phone as they say its out of warranty even though the booking form says in big letters IT IS in warranty, they also say there is a sim fault which wasnt the case when i sent it off as my t mobile sim and 02 sim were both working fine. my question is where do i stand what can i do and who is to blame?? t mobile says they take no responsibility

Reading this sounds like, the phone went in under warranty for repair, but repair has been rejected and you are now out of warranty?
Not much you can do I would say. If they say the sims are faulty, you could ask for replacement sim cards from the networks to try out. Are both sims faulty, that would be a coincidence but if you are swapping them in and out, they could well become damaged.0 -
no its got warranty until february 2011 thats the problem, thats what t mobile are saying which i have in writing, so ill phne the repairs people tomoroow and find out what they have done to my phone, i used it fine on my t mobile contract then gave it to my mother on 02 then sent if off to repair0

In that case, you might better going to the manufacturer direct to get it repaired (if it is faulty).
What the people you sent to might be saying is that the particular repair needed is not covered by warranty.
But by sounds of it, if its signal issue, then it might just be o2 have no reception in your mother's area.0 -
thanks but no the phone had signal was working fine just kept switching off which i thought was a software issue! so i sent it via t mobile to their repairs centre as the phone was on t mobile and they say its a sim issue! the only thing the lg warranty was one year according to the website but the t mobile documentation i have says its 2 years0

Its what the LG leaflet says that is important or at least correct. 1 year is what I would expect - anything more would have to be covered by getting insurance I think or extended warranty.
