I have rung, they want me to send some work in. I'm not normally like this but I'm feeling really militant now! Husband is upset because he wanted to ring, I've told him he can have the pleasure of taking the sick note in tomorrow!
Have just watched tents hanging off cliff face - I'm really hooked now. I usually miss tv but heard this being talked about on the radio, thank goodness for iplayer! Think Norway seems a bit naff and garish though.
Santander have just pulled another fast one! You have to admire their nerve.
Hope you've had a good day?0 -
Surely your too poorly to send work in.....
Oh yes Norway is definitely on par with Hawaii for naffness!LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

Normally I'd be happy to but as you can probably tell, I'm not so happy to at the moment! They might be able to request this, not sure they can insist? I wish I knew more about employment law!0

I don't think they can insist upon this, would you like me to check with our HR Dept tomorrow morning?LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

Oh bless, no it's fine. I'll send something in. I've got a lovely class and I don't want them to suffer, but I'm not sitting here all night working, I'll do it when I feel better. It's just that I know she wouldn't dare ask some people! I spend my time running around finding things for other classes!0

Also glad that the doctor signed you off, I used to get throat infections every year, they are definately my weakness and I know how painful they can be
.
Bless your OH looking after you, mine is a pretty rubbish nurse to be honest, he just sort of hangs about near me not doing anything helpful at all :rotfl:

Hello anyone reading today.
Still feeling rubbish, throat sore and cough just won't go. Have just spoken to boss who was really nice and symapthetic so feeling a lot happier about work again. Isn't it strange how one or two throw away comments can have such an impact on how you feel.
I know from school's point of view, although not helpful being off ill, if I am signed off for longer the insurance kicks in so it doesn't cost and they know where they are in terms of planning cover. Just hope I start to feel better soon!
Father in law didn't get sent home yesterday, something to do with not having a moveable trolley at home? Now trying to find out what is happening today.
Bad news on the finances, despite trying to debt bust, last month was expensive. Money is saved for this month's tesco visa card due to be paid 29th, have managed to put £1000 towards santander card which needs to be paid in Dec but might need to use some of that. It's not helpful trying to juggle two accounts but we need to still use A & L as DDs still all set up so have to leave some money in that account and First Direct which we are trying to switch to.
Might have to give ebay a go but have never done it. Not sure I have much worth selling either, it would mainly be clothes (not designer) and books, would these sell well?
We both have good salaries but I feel like I am lost trying to find a way the reduce spending more.0 -
Have just updated signature, have cleared £4318.28 since August, which is good (but have got another temp loan from husband who cashed in endowments while we try and juggle two bank accounts). Haven't put this on! This all feels as clear as mud today though. Think I will leave it until I feel better!0
