What's happening to the server?

Thought I would let you know what is going on.
We're adding another server today. And (in laymans terms as far as i understand it), this one will work as the front end for the chat forum
That means it sends out all the image files etc, and the current server just sends out the info from the database. All in all it means the forum server should be much much more powerful.
In fact it isn't the final move. Once this works we're adding yet another server within a week or two, at the front end so it has even more capacity (and will load balance apparently)
The switch has just happened and it should mean the site will speed up later this afternoon and be much better at dealing with the traffic from the tip (which will be the real test)
So now you know about as much as i do!!!!

Gosh I thought for a minute you were asking us Martin! I thought it was just the lunchtime traffic that had slowed things down a bit, then I read the bit along the top

Do let me know if you think things are speeding up
It's all about propagation, so most people will notice a change within the next 3 hours, but for some it'll take 24. Gradually though it should be much quicker

i think it going hellova lot quicker about 2 secs a page when b4 used to get initialising in 0.06 b4 when posting it dawldled along most of the time.i dont even see the initialising bit now.
