Easyjet have changed my flight time... to a cheaper flight but no refund

Hi guys
Easyjet have emailed me yesterday advising that my flight home from Geneva in February has changed.
When I booked I had 3 different flights available and opted to pay for the slightly more expensive flights, extra £5 each for the flights where we'd leave resort about 10am.
We'll now be leaving about 7am, the email from easyjet doesnt mention anything about charges etc.
Is it worth me emailing Easyjet asking for some money back? seeing as if I'd booked that early flight in the first place I'd have saved some money for each person
I know its petty and a small amount but leaving at 7am isnt ideal so we've effectively been charged more for a time slot we didn't want
Was planning on sending a short email to easyjet rather than wasting money ringing
cheers
Dave

It's worth a try, a few years ago i booked a flight from Luton to Istanbul, I booked it well in advance but then a couple of months before my flight easyjet changed the date of my flight to make it a day earlier. Instead of me being able to travel to Luton on the day of my flight, the new flight time meant that i would need to travel to Luton the day before and then i would arrive at my destination a day earlier too. I spent ages trying to get through to someone on the phone (and a fortune as i was calling from a mobile), can't remember exactly what happened during the phone call but i ended up writing a really long letter of complaint outlining the additional charges i had incurred for the hotel the night before my flight and an extra night in my hotel in Istanbul. They ended up refunding the cost of my flight which more or less covered the extra charges i had incurred for hotels. It took a lot of fighting and a lot of not backing down but i got there in the end.
Although do bear in mind that a lot has changed since back then, a lot of airlines have tightened their belts a bit, but it's worth giving it a go.0
