blackberry sim free email?

I got a blackberry simfree recently and have put in a contract sim with a unltd data useage bolt on from O2.

Can anyone help me I need to activate my gmail account.

my problem is that when I go into set up it dooesn't have any other option to set up private email. Just keeps going in circles adding Wifi

Try this http://www.google.co.uk/mobile/ this is what I used a couple of days ago to set up Gmail on my new Bold 9700. It will download into your downloads folder just move to your Homescreen.

It may help if you change to Blackberry unlimited then you can have push email and BBM (Blackberry Messenger)
