We were getting grey marks with our old machine, then it started making a strange noise, then in broke with a load of dirty reusable nappies in, and was not fixable! Hope yours fares better!

    Are the marks rubbery?

I've had this happen intermittently, in my case it's the rubber door seal chafing against some of the clothes due to the machine being too full. Tell tale signs: marks on a few items, not all; marks the same shade of grey as the seal; marks smell/feel/look a bit rubbery; seal looks a bit worn in places.
