Morning all
It's clouded over here and is looking like rain
glad I got lots of washing done yesterday although it is meant to clear up this afternoon so may put WM on then with bedding.
I may leave blackberrying til later/tomorrow too. Don't want to get wet!!
I think I'm going to read my book for few hours and then put away laundry and change bedding. Then I'll make a veggie roast dinner with stuffed peppers, spuds, carrots, cabbage, green beans and onion gravy. Not done proper one for ages. I have 6 peppers in fridge so will cook 2 (4 halves) today and have half today and half tomorrow.
I need to put BM on too. At moment a loaf is lasting me a month! I'm trying not to eat bread too often so only have it on weekends
Oh and I need to tidy the apre room as I have a house 'guest' coming tomorrow for 5 days. Some how I've agreed to look after my little cousin's hamster!! I've never had a hamster before so this should be interesting :rotfl:
Have a great day all

Morning all................................(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) if you need one,
A bright morning we are off to the Sunday market at the local airfield to see if we can get a new chopper and maul and a couple of bags of rolls for the freezer.
The stove is doing very well, we had another slightly bigger finre in it last night, I will re-lay it for tonight.
It is not a holiday here in Scotland so it will be a usual working day here tomorrow. I plan to have a trip to Lidl to have a look at their sock wool, at present I am using up the wool I had making it into another pair of patchwork socks.......
Not much going on, we have roast pork for supper tonight, baked bananas for dessert.
Have a good day.Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -

Bleary eyed of belfast here again with grey skies and light rian to boot! Csarina you've made me feel a little better as it's not a holiday here tomorrow (unless you work for the council....) and I get holiday-envy when all my family at home are going to the pub this afternoon!
I love my pie plates :smileyheayesterday was the first time i'd used enamel ones and they really make a difference - no soggy bottoms! DH usually makes the pastry in our house as my hands are too warm but I used the processor yesterday and it turned out great! I have some stewed steak and some pastry ready to make another one today - may get frozen!
Need to have a straighten up and bath the kids this morning then I have some MS work this afternoon.

Morning all

Trying to keep up with posting, but have been so busy at work so sorry I have not been around much
Hope you are all well.
Looks like rain here too, which is a pain. I am supposed to be going to a barbeque later today - we were going to walk there as there are no buses (5-6 miles, but via a place that often has oyster mushrooms) so I hope it holds as I don't really want the expense of a cab as we are still trying to save as much as we can.
I have just ordered a hand dye as I tried to dye a dress last night in the machine using the dylon machine dye and it failed miserably - the machine is under a year old, but the dye clumped in the drum and has left the fabric really patchy. I am not impressed; the dyes were £5 a shot and I expect them to work (fabric was silk/cotton mix so should have been fine). I've never had a problem doing this before. Hopefully I can cover with with a cold water one.
The ceps are here - finally enough rain to start the season properly! OH came back with a bag of them that he found on his way home - so we had ceps with cream sauce on toast for tea last night and we've dried the useable parts of the remaining ones down in the dehydrator. This is the first time we've found a lot of ceps since we've been up here. Some of them were huge!
Other than that, I have have been trying to run the store cupboards down as we are off on holiday soon so dinner has been random for the past few days. If anyone has any ideas about what to do with kidney beans other than chili and bean burgers, I would be eternally grateful to know!
We spoke to two other banks about a mortgage and both of them were really positive, so we have the green light to start house hunting when we get back from Iceland. Will probably go with HSBC as they seemed far more responsible. I have seen a couple of properties that I would like to view already, but we are in no real rush - things seem to be dropping a bit here (I love Zoopla!) so we might hold off a little while yet.
Have a good day all, cel x:staradmin:starmod: beware of geeks bearing .gifs...:starmod::staradmin:starmod: Whoever said "nothing is impossible" obviously never tried to nail jelly to a tree :starmod:0 -
Morning all

Not really cold here, but very rainy, couple of heavy downpours & bet there's more to come!
DH's birthday yesterday, I had to work, but we went to one of his sisters' for a card night - came home with a net gain of over £12!
:T
Been up since oh-my-god o'clock with baby, bit hard when I didn't get to bed 'til after 1! (insert bb's tired smiley!)
Done some ironing already, got to finish & sort clothes, some to get rid of that kids have outgrown. May be out for tea for DH's birthday, so winnings going on that! Had the first of my own spuds for tea the other night - yum yum:D
Really gone over budget for GC this month, so think a change of tactic is required - think I'll draw a certain amount on the 1st of the month & make it last a week or whatever - if I've only got cash in my purse I spend a bit less!!
Baby climbing stairs, so off for now - have a nice Sunday morning all, see you later.

Morning all,
Bright and beautiful here again :j (Aussie
) although we are meant to get more rain later on.
Yesterday OH and I were very busy, we put the blinds up in the spare room, cafe rods went up, door handle and smoke alarm put back, the first coat was put on the skirting, and it was fixed to the wall :j, I need to get another coat on the skirting and then we just need the chap to come and wallpaper and we are all done :T, this room seems to have taken forever
, once we have the money, we will tackle the lounge next, we need a bit extra as we need electric running out to the shed from the lounge so that I can have a big freezer out there.
OH and I are off to the boot sale later on, and then a long dog walk and a lazy afternoon, beef casserole for dinner, which I made a week or so ago, just need to do veggies and spuds.
WM on with our bedding, and Just a quick tidy round needed. I stewed some plums and rhubarb yesterday, so will make a crumble and get some ice cream for ultimate comfort food later on
OK better get on, have good days all xx0 -
Pah it's raining
There goes my car vac-ing and lawn mowing. Stupid ruddy weather forecasters........
Just got back from swimming, just popping round to see my mum and dad and my grandparents who are all off to search the local dogs homes for a dog for my grandparents. Despite being 90 my grandad is sorely missing his spaniel who was put down earlier this year and it helps to keep him focused so they want to look for a slightly older rescued dog.
Will then crack on when we get back from that visit. Honest. I shan't procrastinate

Later we're taking Louie the pup for his first trip upto the woods, the older dog Mig doesn't like strange places and people he doesn't know(he's blind) so we'll take him out later to his usual field for a runabout.
Going to make an egg custard later for pud as was given a huge dish of eggs from where my sister works(field study centre)
Tea is slow cooked beef for the chaps and something veggie for me.
Flutterby - how do you do your stuffed peppers? never had one but would be interested in making one for my tea!
