bathbombs seem tricky
and i have tried loads of recipes
i have 2 that i now use all the time
one gives a very smooth finish
one gives a slightly more rustic (but i prefer it) look
Bathbombs
INGREDIENTS300g Bicarbonate of Soda
100g Citric Acid
10ml Fragrance or Essential Oil of choice
Colour cosmetic liquid colour,
that is the more rustic one
and doesnt require any spraying spritzing etc, and thats where a recipe usually goes wrong!
to make smoother ones, cornflour is needed
so like 150g bicarb, 50g citric acid, 25g cornflour,
10ml fragrance, & colour if using
use cosmetic colour if you are
anything else risks staining, expecially on plastic baths (and skin:eek:)
i do add botanical ingredients if someone asks
they look so pretty
but in reality most people  at petals, lavender buds etc sticking to them, the bath, the towels & clogging the drains0 -

soap making
well you can use a few methods
melt & pour
cold processed
hot processed
gosh where to start:rotfl:
i shall give you a link for each
m&p

cold
http://candleandsoap.about.com/od/coldprocesssoapmaking/ss/sscpsoap.htm
hot
http://www.candletech.com/soap-making/hot-process-soap-instructions/
its like any hobby
you need to buy everything to get you started, so can work out expensive (and addictive) if you are only wanting to make a few pieces
i use anything & everything i can as molds
soap molds, silicone molds
but i also use things like single scoop ice cream tubs to make trifle soaps
sorry to post links, but you can digest that at your leisure rather than me spout it all off:rotfl:0 -

Hi yes i've made strawberry vodka/liqueur before, i plan to make fudge or humbug vodka this year, ive never made those before but the recipe i use is“Hull enough perfect strawberries to fill a preserving jar or wide necked bottle. !!!!! each berry a few times with a cocktail stick and pop into jar or bottle. Add caster sugar to come about a third of the way up the jar and top up with vodka. Seal and keep in a cool dark spot for 3 to 6 months. Strain thru muslin and re-bottle. ENJOY!!”
1.Clean and Hull the strawnberries, pricking them a few times with a needle or toothpick
2.Fill a preserve jar or other glass bottle/jar with the strawberries coating them in caster sugar until about a third is filled with strawberries coated in sugar.
3.Top up with vodka
4.Shake daily for the first week and keep in a cool, dry cupboard
*i usually leave it for a few months, some people leave it for around 6 months, so probably best to get started asap in time for crimbo*
