Sky Overcharging

Ok, Ive been with Sky since about october/december. I originaly told sky that I wanted the middle broadband package, unlimeted phone calls, HD tv, with entertainment packs. Since day one, they have been charging me for phone calls, I have phoned them hundreds of times, with no luck. My bill seems to always be over £100, and every time I phone, they say I have switched to the unlimeted package, but I havent. One time though, the did say they would compensate me, but it was only by about £50, which wassnt good enough. This issnt the first problem with them though, as when I originaly started, for the first few months, I had no broadband, and was forced to tether off my phone. also, when we swiched line rental, there has always been a constant high pitched tone which could be heard constantly. I'm not too sure wether it is still there, as I sort of got used to it. I often check online to see what I am being charged for, and noticed that I was paying £7.50 for Unlimeted broadband - Not what I signed up for, and also, when I try and uprgade to unlimeted phone calls on the net, it then tells me that I allready have it, allthough you can see that I am being charged for calls. In the past month or so, I have noticed Virgin Media avalible in my area. I would much prefer to end sky, and sign up for them. Can anyone help me with this?

    Sympathies!!!

The "everyday" broadband package is ending any day now, so you (and tons of other people) will be automatically upgraded to the max package, which is £7.50, weird you'd seen this charge already but no point in complaining as this is what you will be charged.

As for the phone overcharaging, have you tried threatening to contact ofcom to complain? http://consumers.ofcom.org.uk/
  • The phone alls that you're being charged for, are you on the phone for over an hour? Are they mobile or landline calls, or another country?
