Also, I have just noticed this thread and as it is really long, I would like to know from when the misprice for the Xbox was and would they have taken all the posters down by now???

Ive just been away for 5 days and have had to read about 30 pages to get up to date........I cant for the life of me see why anyone wanting this type of information, cant start at post 1 and read through........It would get you a bit more respect from those that do all the hard work initially.......but then, thats just my opinion....

Well done...Ive got a PSP (or 2, or...nevermind)...but homebrew is something ya hoy down ya neck...then regret it in the morning....as my mate would say....

Not when it means I don't have to buy games again... :p;)

It's easy to update the firmware back up, anyway...although not sure why anyone would want to do that.
In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.

Are you suggesting getting games for free

I don't mean illegal pirated ones

I meant the one's Tesco price incorrectly ;)

Because i know when my original xbox developed a fault that would allow me to play "homebrew games" i used it a lot more than i did before

Or ask for them and say you were told by another member of CS at HO that they were dealing with it but you got cut off when they tried to transfer you.

Yes.....thats a good ploy.......although they may ask your postcode, as all CS are supposed to log who they have spoken to......and the log is the postcode.....so i was told while chatting to a HO CS assistant.

The log is indeed the postcode , they ask that before your name... assuming they have your correct postcode

    Forewarned is forearmed
  • Hopefully someone will reply before i go to bed

I'm going to tescos to try and capitalis on this R&R thing (its a small tescos, hopefully its unaware of the 360 pricing problem)

I was curious as to whether or not I have to actually pay for the item and return saying I was over priced, or can I refute it at the point of purchase

eg, say i bring the 360 up to te till with the game and the discount is not put through can I ask for the free xbox there and then, or will I have to purchase it and then return it (arguably the more risky of the 2)

I also think this should be mention on the front page of this topic as it is clear neither on this forum or in tescos

    thanks
