I grew 'Hot Wax' peppers this year. The man who sold us the bush told us they were mild and could be eated like salad peppers - they weren't
I now have loads ripening quickly on a bush as was wondering if I could make chilli oil with them? How would I do this?
Many thanks

Seems to be dangerous to make this with fresh chilies
but you could try drying them

Hi pixiegirl,
They freeze well and you can dry them. These older threads may help:

You can freeze them, then make just a small amount of oil at a time.0

I'd like to have a go at making some chilli oil for my bf for Christmas. However, I want it *really* hot. Chilli infused oil where you just leave chillis in oil for a bit simply won't work. He eats birds eye chillis raw  , so I want something strong!
Does anyone have any good recipes or ideas? ThanksDFW Nerd #104 I :heartpuls my Kittenand my hat :heartpuls

I don't think it's the method you use that determines the heat but the type of chilli and whether or not you leave the seeds in.
I make mine by infusing home grown small chillis in oil or sherry. The longer you leave them the hotter it gets.;)0
