advice with tmobile upgrade please asap
my upgrade was due yesterday and i really need it asap as using a basic phone with bad reception ( signal keeping randomly dropping) as mine broke.
anyway i really want the i phone so rang them, the i phone 4 is out of my league price wise, so i asked about the 3gs one, they said the best they can offer me is the 3gs on a 40.00 contract and the phone at 30.00. i asked about the lower priced contract and they said the 35.00 contract made the phone price go up to 70.00.
now i know the 30.00 doesnt seem a lot, but i know someone who did get the i phone free on a 35.00 contract with them, why do they have rules for one and not everyone, is it true it depends who you speak to?
i then said well il shop around and if i get a better deal id leave them - expecting them to then barter with me,but no, they simply said the apple phones are set on price etc.
the thing is i know that orange for example offer a 35.00 contract with 600 mins and unlimited text and the i phone 3gs for free - but i cant leave tmobile for them really as i have a bad credit rating now with an old debt that came to light.
any ideas? can i really haggle on the price with tmobile or is it just different companys offer different things and im stuck?

so they would let me leave them (if i was going to lol) cos they genuinely cant lower the price?0 -
Is there a way to check if the old debt would affect credit rating to the extent they'd turn you down?
Can't you ask at Orange?0
