Yeah... Telling someone how to do it on a forum is quite hard and TBH, not something I want to do and if you can't figure out how to get the base off, you're likely to !!!!!! up the clips trying. You don't need to put a new DC connector in but merely resolder the existing one back to the motherboard. You can solder, can't you? If you can't, give up now and pay someone as you can make it a whole load worse to the point of being irrepairable. And you need a fine tip low wattage soldering iron or you'll risk lifting the tracks on the printed circuit board.
I wasn't looking for someone to tell me on a forum, more asking if anyone knew where I could get the information from! To even solder the DC connector, i'd actually need to get in to be able to see it first, which actually surprisingly enough involves me being able to get the thing apart. Yes I can solder, and I have the correct tools....0 -
