    hi all

feeling a bit pants and keep having teary moments :(

not been very debt free this week :(

    today..
    -get chicken pellets and corn
    -some stuff from boots
    - some stuff from the Co-op..now have a members card so will at least collect some points!
-drop off stuff at allotment and collect some lettuce and orange beetroot
-take bacon and pork out the freezer to defrost
-wanted to get some DIY done with the PH but that went out the window as its windy and he's gone windsurfing!
-made a raisin and lemon courgette yesterday - quite nice but didnt quite cook long enough
    -done some washing yesterday
-wanted to have some nice time with the OH but that hasnt happened :(

But this week on the good new side - did confirm the venue for the wedding, after being let down by a 'friend' no longer a friend of mine..but the OH still talks to him, i cant even bear to look at him grrrrrr he makes my blood boil. But the new venue is fab, and they will do what ever food we want and can decorate how ever we want too - it will be fab, just need to make lots of bright funky pink bunting!

I am sat here waiting for the OH as we supposed to be going to a BBQ!
been away for a while..need to get on financial track!

Yesterday was pretty hard for me, worked friday night at the bar (job 2) until 3.30am, didn't sleep until 5ish by the time I got home, and I opened up the shop (primary job) at 10am!

Was fairly productive at work, though didn't look it, caught up with adminy stuff in the office and finally emptied my inbox. Home for food and a nap, then at work again 10pm - 2am!

Forgot to pick up my tips again, hopefully they'll be waiting for me in the safe next weekend! Only spent £1.30 on my bus fair, otherwise three days of not spending.

    Day off today:
    - Hang washing out to dry while it's not !!!!ing it down
    - Do washer load of whites
    - No money spent on food today, egg beans and chips for lunch already. Might make some food for tomorrow's lunch.
    - Make shopping list for next week
    - Tidy bedroom
    - Post on OS board about what I can grow in my tiny yard :D
    - Find a box of stuff to ebay

    Today I've:

    * returned an unused umbrella to Mr M as I found a useable old one (£4.99 back to me!)
    * returned a £1.99 shower gel to superdrug and bought exactly the same one in the 99p store instead
    * returned my £12.99 camping stove to Halfords as Lakeland have them for £7.99 (then got an accessory for it for £9.99, not quite so good :o but I partially justified it with the £5 saving)
    * traipsed round town getting my shopping as cheap as possible, being prepared to take things back when I later on found cheaper goods
    * stocked up on camping gas cartridges for the cooker - standard argos price dearer than high street if I end up needing them in the autumn/spring.
    * parked in free parking
    * got Aldi special offer metal paint for the truck bed at less than 1/3 the price of Hammerite :j and am keeping the receipt safe so if I only need one tin not two, the second tin can go back.
    * got Aldi special offer outdoor paint to repaint chipped window lintel and porch awning with before winter comes.
    * walked to Aldi twice with my old-lady-trolly instead of taking the car
    * scanned my shopping with my scanner
    * got DH to mend my car door for free, saving garage labour costs :T Am so pleased with this that am not making him eat sweet potato for dinner
    * washing on outside line - until it rained :(
    * checked for surveys - no surveys :(
    * will find my Take A Break and do comps closing Monday.

    Hi Mightytev,

I'm signed up with a company called Nilsson. I have a scanner from them that is plugged into my phone line. I scan all my shopping with it (scan the barcodes like in shops) and every week it dials home (like a modem/fax machine, no cost to me) and sends them info on what I've bought. I earn points for every week that I do this. In about 2 years these points will get me a nice treat -they do a catalogue of rewards you can pick from.

There is another organisation called shop and scan that earns you cash not points for the scanning. It is even harder to get picked for shop and scan.

    Hope this helps.

    Morning all

Been up since 5.45am, couldn't sleep :(, on the plus side though, it's peaceful and the sun is shining :) and at least it means I get to enjoy a long bank holiday Monday.

I'm not really sure what I'm going to be up to today, not got any plans, so I can please myself which will be nice.

On the DFW front, I will:
    • Check bank and prep September budget sheet
    • Do any surveys
    • All food from stores, including leftover HM shephers pie from last night :)
    • Might pop down to A5da later today as DM showed me some towels she bought there yesterday that were only £1 each :)
    • More HC and ironing
    • Bit more tidying in the garden
I'm sure there's more, but can't think this early in the morning :D.

    Have a great day everyone!

Well I guess we're carrying on with the weekend thread as its a Bank Holiday?

Today I have a few things to do (mostly school stuff)....
    • Checked banks (no movement until tomorrow)
    • Check ebay
    • Checked quidco
    • Do at least 3 hours school work
    • Put dry washing away
    • All food from stores
    • Go to pick up cheap watch from Argos - posh one costs £30 to have the battery replaced and that will have to wait until I get paid!
    • Try on new suits and find tops to go underneath
    • Walk dog for free exercise (he seems a bit better today)
    • Read library book and order next one online
That's all so far - hope everyone has a good day.
    January grocery spending - £82.73/ £120
  • morning we're not starting a new thread today??? I personally cba! OMG I had a 24 hour stomach bug yesterday - was awoken at 3am on Sunday morning and felt dodgy! Weird how this morning it has just gone and I feel right as rain again :j (I never normally get stomach bugs, usually have a cast iron stomach so haven't really experieinced this before! or at least not that I can remember...)

So not really going to do any DFW stuff today going to a wedding reception later :j, yay a rare moment out of the house!

ok so I will do the following
    • water tom plants
    • decide what to do with the mountain of tomatoes I have ;)
    • dig out my dress & make it presentable
    • check banking
    • dinner from the plan
    • go for a run
    • start my diet
Have a week off work :j but am on call in the evenings...

happy holidays everyone, hope the sun is shining if not physically where you are metaphorically x
