I just signed up to the See Film First website and every now and again they send you an email with an offer of tickets for previews of films. They're usually at early evening showings or in the morning on the weekend so you can't pick but it is free and usually you can get 2 tickets so you don't have to go on your own.
You have to be quick though - the cinemas are predefined and the tickets go like hot cakes - I've been a few times and its a free trip out ! They are not always showing near you either so its pot luck what you get sent (I think!)

movie night tonight with OH, got to make Sky pay for itself!

Hi all, can't believe the sunshine is here at last.:j We enjoyed it yesterday and went to Weymouth Sea Life Centre using our Merlin passes and had tea at Pizza Express and paid in Tesco Clubcard tokens.
Today I:
1) SC, checked banking etc
2) Hokey cokey drying outside
3) Returned things on time to library
4) Rented a DVD for free using a voucher from bargain chocolate packets.
5) Bought a Monsoon work top from the charity shop.
6) Booked a hotel room to visit my Nana in Nottingham at Christmas time - family room, 2 nights for £12.50 per room per night! Remembered Quidco too.
7) Met friends for a drink in the sunshine and stuck to two halves.
8) Entered coke zone points
9) 2 online surveys
10) Received £20 survey vouchers in post.
DNMS - check out the thread on the Freebies board for cinema tickets - it is a sticky so you can't miss it.
Oh is out tonight so B and I are going to have a girly night and eat chocolate and watch Dear John. Not the sitcom from the 80s.
See you tomorrow, L x0 -
Beencounting wrote: »Er...what's lettuce soup?!

ok I saw Dawn had it on her list a few weeks ago & I have a lettuce that needs using up. She gave me this recipe:
"roughly chop 2 potatoes and 1 onion, soften in a little butter, add a chopped lettuce or the outside leaves of several lettuces, and chicken stock just to cover (I make chicken stock from chicken carcasses in the slow cooker, simply cover with water and leave on low for about 12 hours, then cool, pick out bones and bits and freeze). If you don't have that you could use just water I guess, or Marigold bouillon powder if you have that - I don't like stock cubes much, but if you do, then use one of those. Cook till all veg are soft, then cool a bit and whizz in blender till smooth. Season and serve. Nice with a spoonful of cream swirled in and some croutons if you are feeling posh."
