:D When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :D

Thought I'd get us started being that I've been up an hour already! Lovely having a 2 1/2 year old! LOL

Today mine is more of a to-do list but it will keep me out of the shops so DFW in that sense....
- Lots of HC
- Dry HC naturally, looks nice out there today
- Potty training with DD - will generate lots more HC!
-
[STRIKE]Strip spare bed and DD's bed[/STRIKE] and wash/dry
- Tidy through
- Hoover through
- Clean out hearth, had to light a fire last night, very cold!!!
-
[STRIKE]Washing up, HW on for enough time to heat up/clean only![/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Empty car of random rubbish in there[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Clean wheels at least[/STRIKE], maybe the whole car if I'm feeling energetic
- Borrow next doors mower and mow lawn if it all dries out nicely, still can't start my petrol one
- Teach friend to make apple crumble/apple pie this afternoon with apples given to me by colleague.
- Work out something to make with LOVELY plums also given to me by colleague
- Check veggies
- Weeding
- Do NOT use car today unless necessary
- NSD, aside from maybe flour if required for this afternoon
- STAY FOCUSSED AND DONT STAY ON HERE TOO LONG!!!! LOL

Have a lovely, sunny saturday everyone
Jxxxxx
Nothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!

Morning Josie and Lotte and those who follow!

Already been out to walk the dog and put a load of stuff outside for the community collection to take away today. They pick up stuff, sort it into rubbish, recycling and charity stuff and take it all away for you - a really good scheme designed to try to minimise local rubbish and fly tipping - and free!

Going to a BBQ later (not looking forward to it, not keen on the host) but have a few things to do first....
    • Walk dog again
    • Post ebay parcel
    • Withdraw cash for the week
    • Hoover and dust house
    • Checked banks
    • Checked quidco
    • Checked ebay
    • Put dry washing away
    • Try to have a NSD (driving to BBQ)
    • Maybe take old but perfectly fine TV to cash converter type place to see if they'll give me a few pounds for it - if not give it to the charity shop
That's all for now - hope everyone has a good day.
    xx
  • Morning

I can't get on in early am during week - too early time to leave the house - hello today!

    Bank
    Move money
Pay rent early - get brownie point
    Look at CC
make scones with sour milk, make them rise amazingly - froze the milk ages ago
    Walk dog
    charity shop
    drive darwin
    bed to make
    batch cooking to do
organise freezer for OH to know where any potential lunches are
Go to local butcher and buy chicken (not very DFW as it will be expensive but they are a treat and nice) will do a few meals
Ds has 7 chums coming - he's bought pizza and fizzy juice for them from his own money (he gets paid to hoover the whole house and a good job he does too!) great to come home and its all sparkling

    Not sure what else yet!

Wave to all, off to catch up with you later.
Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
    minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:
    :money:Sleeves up folks.:money:

  • Morning all. We've been really busy for the last few days reorganising the utility room so haven't had chance to post on here. It's nearly finished now and I just want the house back to normal.

    So far today I have:
    • run DW overnight on Economy 7
    • run WM overnight on Economy 7
    • hung HC outside in lovely sunshine (Well, it is August after all!)
    • fed and watered chickens
    • got granola in the slow-cooker
    • picked the first three apples from the trees I planted only 18 months ago :T
    I also hope to:
    • do some batch cooking
    • clean out the chicken coop
    • finish the utility room and find homes for everything that was dragged out of there
    • mark off number (90) on my 101 things to do in 1001 days list :j
    • meals from meal plan/stores
    • have an NSD
We did a month's shopping at Mr T's yesterday now that we have a proper pantry to store bulk goods. We were able to take full advantage of special offers etc. We will need to top up with fresh fruit, veg and milk but that should be all we need until next pay day. And the cost for 3 adults? Just £108 :D

    Have a good weekend chaps!

  • Morning all

Well, I’m finally on leave for two weeks :j, it’s been a long time coming! Of course, that means that there’s no excuse for not posting on her every day :).

Amongst other things, I’m planning to get my 101 list together while I’m off work and will then put a link onto the 101 diary thread for you all to see.

I’m enjoying a slow start this morning – still in my jammies, but will get moving soon…ish!

    So for today:
    • Quick shower
    • Check bank
    • Surveys
    • Deliver more Av0n brochures :)
    • Lots of HC – lovely and sunny here today
    • Bit of ironing :(
    • Deal with paperwork
    • Research savings account
    • Check the 101 diary for inspiration and progress updates :D
    • Bit of tidying in the garden
That's enough for now. Catch up later.
