Hmmm pigs could possibly take up 2 hours per day at a push........ you could do both if you really wanted to.........0

My parents managed to have 2 kids and 400 sows.
If you decide to have both beware of the following;
If the kids help you out with the pigs they will tend to smell a bit unfortunate. It takes at least 2 showers to get rid of the pig smell.
You can shout "you weren't born in a pigsty"
As a dad if a future daughter wants a piercing you can threaten to take her down to the pigs and pierce her ears they same way the pigs have theirs pierced for their ear tags.
The last one put me off piercings for years.0 -

I have been raising free range pigs on a bit of land in my free time. Over the past few years it has taken up most of my free time. Anyway, my wife wants a baby, but thinks that as long as I have pigs to look after, I won't be able to spend enough (any) time with the baby. She says that I have to get rid of the pigs before we have the baby she wants. I am not sure I want to get rid of my pigs
So, which is better - pigs or babies?
I think pigs, but obviously your wife has an unsatisfied need to nurture. Perhaps she could help suckle an orphan piglet with a baby bottle?
Maybe buy her a nice matching oven glove and tea towel set for Xmas so she feels appreciated.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -

I think that is an excellent idea, and one I will go forward with. I will report back with the results.
Thank you all for your help.
