Two cctv camera tickets in one hour

Comments

  • The second place use to have double yellows before but they have changed the town centre alot now as rather than having a town market there, they have got a road where buses go from and the first place didnt had double yellow there but i have went back there and they have put a sign of pedestrian zone and only access for delivery for shopping centre.
Second one yes i did park on the double yellow as we use to park there quiet alot to get food from that chicken shop but its first time we got cctv ticket. Like i said i was willing to pay one ticket but two tickets are just a bit high for me as the money situtation is tight so i am just looking for ideas :(
If it ever got to the point where i have no money to eat. I would go to the police station and break something to get myself arrested. Atleast i would get a warm cell and food and if everyone who get SANCTIONED by the job center did that than the government would have to change there policy about sanctioning so many people on the work program.

No ideas available until tickets seen. Sorry.
I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.
  • i would try and take tickets from my friend tomorrow, i havent got a scanner so i would try and take the pictures of them and post them here so you guys can have better idea, btw thanks for help and i do appreciate it :)

The best pieces of advice I can think of are, park legally (and use more capital letters).
Up to 80k miles a year in the past, no speeding or parking fines for 30 years.

They do call August the silly season!

The best piece of advice I can think of is, post up your pics on pepipoo.com here:

    http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showforum=30

Pleeeeease make sure you scan in or get a pic of all pages of the PCNs as well as the front page. There may well be flaws with the wording of the PCNs; pepipoo posters are the experts. They get most people off most Council tickets. :)

And to Bob the Saver, parking in contravention of Council regs is not 'parking illegally'. Ever heard of decriminalised parking? Most areas have it now, very few still have the parking enforced by the Police.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Parking on double yellows is illegal.

Its not against the law to park on double yellows, otherwise anyone parking there would be arrested, also blue badge holders can park on there mostly.
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

I beg to differ. Although it's a common misconception so I can see why you and Bob think so.

As taffy says what about disabled parking? And what about unloading/loading exemptions? And what about passenger boarding/alighting exemptions? And what about the fact that the word 'decriminalised' tells you that it's not illegal = not criminal, to park there even if one of the exemptions doesn't apply.

The only way I think you can 'park illegally' in a decrim area is to cause an obstruction or stop on enforceable zigzags (i.e. not just advisory ones). May be wrong but I think these are the only offences considered illegal in a Council-controlled borough/County, so the Police can still enforce these.

To the OP, back on topic, I will have a look at the PCN in a mo and see if I can add anything.

    Clickable links to PCNs:

Well I think you will be best staying on pepipoo with these queries now as they have more expertise than on MSE - I think you've posted over there as well haven't you? They will need to see more of the ticket wording though, there's nothing in your pics to show the appeals info referred to (the second and subsequent pages of each PCN).

And there's nothing in the pics to show which Regs these tickets are issued under (top of each PCN front page). Each appears to be issued under a different Act as the timings for payment are noticeably different, one says date of notice and one says date of service, one says 14 days and the other 21 days. Both could be right but without the Act at the top who knows for sure - pepipoo posters will not want to assume or guess.

And have you shown pepipoo a pic of the lines & signs at each place? Could throw up an appeal point if the signs are unclear or not as they should be.

Finally, if it were me I would email or call in to the Council offices and ask for the TRO (the Order) that applies to each street, including any maps and amendments. They have to provide this there and then to any interested person on request at minimal charge (10p I think if it's a paper version rather than an email attachment) so don't be fobbed off or delayed or told you have to ask for it under FOI (you certainly do not and it would delay matters too much).

You don't even have to tell the Council bods who you are or why you are asking!

Then you'll have something else to go on - pepipoo will have a look at the TRO & comment on any flaws there if you can scan it or post a link to it.

    Good luck.
