hi
when i logged in to tesco clubcard i was happily surprised to find points to the value of £105 however when i click on vouchers i see nothing.
i was hoping to take advantage of the 4x goldsmiths reward to buy a £420 watch.
tesco customer services told me i have to wait until feb for vouchers but by this time goldsmiths offer drops to 3x or may even have ended.
does anyone know why there is this wait until feb or if i can do anything to get my vouchers earlier?
when i first logged in i had to update my details as it was still registered under my old address. vouchers must have been going here for past 6 years!
a happy christmas surprise has turned to frustration and disappointment.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

empofant:
Sounds like with your CC registered to an old address - mail was returned, and your points have been accumulating - rather than being compiled into vouchers - which would only show the last two years (if they hadn't been used).
Hadn't you noticed you haven't been getting vouchers - to leave amending the address all this time!??
It is too late now to get the points compiled into vouchers - the reissue period has passed, hence Feb mailing.I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0 -
so when they say they will issue vouchers in feb it is likely to be only vouchers for points accrued in last 2 years? I have no idea what portion of the £105 that is, or do they only show points gathered within the 2 year period, beyond which they disappear (like the vouchers)?
reason for my ignoring the address change was use of another club card at my new address.

It just depends how long ago the mail was returned from the old address. The voucher history only shows for two years, so if the 'return' was eighteen months ago they would be six months of vouchers showing. However it may be that the 'return' was three, four, or five years ago - in which case the points would have been accumulating since that point - that is vouchers run out of date, points do not.I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0 -
:jAbsolutely fantastic I went on to tesco's my cc site and found that I had £47 pounds worth of vouchers dating back to 2009!!! Going to use it for some fantastic days out next year! If i hadn't read about it on this fantastic site I would have been none the wiser!! Thank's alot :Txx :A0

So I phoned, and it turns out that 2 years ago, my Clubcard mailing was 'returned to sender', so they stopped sending any more. Now I've confirmed my address is correct, they'll start sending again, and I'll get my vouchers in Feb too.
I hadn't noticed they weren't coming: TBH I don't shop in Tesco more than I can help.
Now, I know precisely how this happened, but not how to stop it happening again! Our house name is a single word, but can be split into two, and when it is split into two it's the same name as a very large govt building the other side of the city. Think 'Millpond' and 'Mill Pond' if it makes it clearer.
We have very different post codes, and when I get their post (usually with our postcode on because that's what comes up first if you don't twig that Millpond and Mill Pond are not the same thing!) I kindly forward it to them. Obviously they don't extend the same courtesy to me, nor do they even notice that the post code is NOT theirs!
Of course they deal with hundreds if not thousands of letters, and of course it's not their fault if the postcode sorting fails at the first hurdle. But when I rang them soon after we moved in, they were aware of our address and assured me that they did put our letters back in the post to us. Don't think they do any more, and it makes you wonder what else has gone missing!
Not really anything I can do, beyond moaning at Royal Mail and Mill Pond post room, grrrr.Signature removed for peace of mind0
