Mine arrived today. Oh dear - what a shame. Why is it that any government initiative results in such dreadful products. The water widget does not reduce the flow of my shower, but it does shoot water out of the air hole at the side. I have followed the instructions to the letter - several times - every time the same result.

The Lime energy saving plug seems to work initially, but then decides to switch off everything when I press any of the other buttons on the TV remote - so I suppose this will inevitably save energy!

Fortunately I already have many wireless remote sockets so will continue to use these. They have additional advantages like longer range, not requiring direct line of sight, and having a special button on the remote that allows you to switch all the sockets on/off simultaneously.

Oh well. If I hadn't applied for these things, I would have nothing to show for the taxes that the government spent on my behalf!

Thanks Albion. Definitely not spam - it is a genuine Government offer, I have received mine. I am just trying to spread the word that people can benefit from this free offer and help disabled children at the same time.

Savemoney - it was initially available only to people on qualifying benefits but has very recently been made available to all - could it be that you didn't qualify but now do? It might be worth re-applying.

Hmm, I'm not sure then. It is open to everyone now though. I see that some people have had delays getting theirs, I'm not sure what the timelines are, the site doesn't specify. Mine came after about 3 weeks.
