aol plat speed probs anyone else

ive ordered platinum for £24.99 a month 2 weeks ago. my router sincs @Connection Speed 7648 kbps 448 kbps but aol r blaming bt as i carnt get over 4mb...got to make up my mind wot to do as my cooling off period is over in 6 days (as me router only came yesterday)ive done varoius speed test all came back as no higher than 4mb even aol admited that i carnt get over that speed. btwholesales tracker states minimun speed of 6.5mb to 8mb....

heres some results if anyone can help me as got phone aol back up today (said phone back in 24hrs)and im glad i found a free phone number as was on the phone again for wel over an hour yesterday

IP profile for your line is - 4500 kbps
DSL connection rate: 448 kbps(UP-STREAM) 7648 kbps(DOWN-STREAM)
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 4127 kbps

router settings

ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 7648 kbps 448 kbps
Line Attenuation 45 db 12.5 db
Noise Margin 6 db 24 db

p.s i also get disconnects but only after 6 at night. also aol admitted theres a problem but all they said was its down to bt and will put a manual order in to try and fix it can u phone back in 24hrs also stated to me that if it carnt be fixed my line will hav to stay at 4mb ...so me thinkin that i might aswel go back to gold @£19.99 2mb :(

before any one mentions about 10 day training period ive had plat for 2 weeks but me router didnt come til yesterday so wen it did came they gave me another 7 days cooling off period

i thought that the training period required you to be using the connection... but i guess not if AOL told you this.... but to be honest - i do not see what is wrong with 4Mb, as it is still a large improvement on your old 2Mb connection

the bt wholesale tracker that you speak is only an estimate.... you would be lucky to get 7Mb.... remember it depends on the quality of your line, as well as the length of the line
