Hi there,
We have conventional boiler in our two bed first floor flat.
We want to get rid of water tank and install new combi condensing boiler 24kW(vaillant or WB).
We have a pump in the bathroom which needs to be removed, NO new radiators!
What would be the fair price?Should we go for Vaillant or WB??
The job should take between 1-2 days.
Best quote was £750 for job plus materials plus boiler.
Thank you in advance

Good afternoon: what is the 'all-in' price for the install? Cost will be dependent of your location in the UK, site conditions and the standard of the specification.

guess it depends if the materials and boiler are charged out at cost or retail price.Any posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0

Hi...a combi is sized for DHW not central heating...and they modulate. Would recommend at least a 28 kW if the OP wants a higher flow rate for showers or to fill a bath.

I have another qoute from corgi registered engineer and all in is £2000 (including VAT) for WB 24 Junior boiler. One day-2 men work with chemical re-fill.We live in London.0

That is ok, but I wouldn't fit a worcester, especially not this model.
Look at the Broag 28c if you have a bath. If you only have a shower and it is electric, then 24Kw will be ok for just hot taps.
Also, make sure they assess the gas pipe size to the boiler. A combi will need a lot more gas when on for HW.0 -

Are you sure about that? CORGI became obsolete about a year ago, Installers must now be GSR (Gas Safe Register). Anyone still proclaiming they are CORGI registered is not to be trusted!
And one day seems to indicate a rush job.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
What about this one to mompare with? I can't make my mind in thermes of boiler. Everyone pushes different product:( -Vaillant EcoTec Pro 24HE Combi Condensing Boilers 24kw0

Check your installer's registration on Gas Safe Register.
as CORGI no longer holds the remit for gas installer registration.

WB is not a bad brand, but the junior and i-series are cheapo's, and the installers that recommend them are often not the best.
£2000 for one day's work is a lot of money if you estimate the boiler at about £800
The fact that he claims to be corgi registered is also a bit worrying; corgi were booted out of the gas safety business more than a year ago.
I would look around a bit more if I were you. The best thing to do is ask as many people as you know and trust for recommendations of installers.0
