natwest and RBS great internet banking-
the have the same style, my natwest internet banking is easy to use but i feel safe, i've been told santander and even A&L had terrible internet banking.
Halifax is good imho, shame you're leaving Lloyds, don't they do that service where they ring you when you're transfer amounts or setting up dd/so to your home or mobile to activate some code? seems the best internet banking out there from what i've been told and read though lolShe LEFT me, she LIED, and she made me foot the BILL ! :mad:0 -
HSBC are great. I only switched from them because I went to First Direct.0

I've heard that RBS/Natwest, HSBC and HBOS have the best online banking
You can actually try a demo of the RBS/Natwest one here on Ulster Bank's website. The system and user interface is the same, just a different colour scheme: https://demo.ulsterbankanytimebanking.co.uk/AccountSummary.aspx
EDIT: It seems RBS and Natwest also have demos.

I'm thinking of moving bank at the moment and good internet banking for me is a priority.
I'm with Lloyds TSB, and frankly the internet banking is first rate - everything up to date - no restrictions on volumes ( see below ) - telephone verification for payment setup.
Previous account was with Bank of Scotland - one to be avoided. Certainly up to about a year ago they had a restriction on the number of recent transactions, i.e. transactions between statements. So, many times when I was about 20 days into a statement month, I would start to lose transactions online from the start of the month. They would show up in the main statement later, but not when I wanted to see them. Weird system.
Also, I dabbled recently with Nationwide - another one to be avoided. They have an online "Mini" and "Full" Statement. The Mini contains daily summaries - missing out payee or any reference - it just says "Direct Debit - £X.XX". The big tease is that the Full statement is not then produced overnight, but 24 hrs later!! Ridiculous system.
I've avoided using NatWest - they use some gadget or other to setup payments.
So, it loks as though I'm with Lloyds TSB for good, unless someone can advise differently.....

HSBC Has excellent internet banking in my eyes - best out of A&L, Natwest, Nationwide & HSBC (I've only tried these!).
HSBC is very easy to use and has a simple design.0 -
If you like Lloyds TSB then why are you thinking of leaving? I've been with A&L for the last 6 years until Santander took it over, it was good, now it's temperamental at best. I've also had a savings account for a few years and have just opened a new current account with Natwest and I really like their online banking service.Debt free and staying that way! :beer:0

I agree. Their internet banking is very easy to use, and very secure with the "call you and enter a code" thing which is nice to have because you don't have to carry around a PIN Sentry like RBS / Natwest / Barclays but you still get security atop passwords.
Very clean looking since they revamped it, too.
I was going to leave LTSB myself as they were messing me around but they seem to have sorted all that out now and given me some goodwill money too so they're back in my good books :jCashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

In my opinion, Natwest have THE best online banking in the industry.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

First party transfers between Barclays accounts are immediate. If you're concerned about security, Barclays was the only bank to be rated 'excellent' by Which? last year.0

In my experience the best are RBS/NatWest - you dont need the card reader to log-in btw. The card reader for setting up payments for the first time combined with the Trusteer Rapport free software makes it all feel very secure - of course a little common sense and a decent anti-virus regardless of what bank you use helps as well.
At the end of the day I suspect everyone in this thread will say their own bank has the best system.0
