Connecting phone to home wifi.

I have just bought my son a Samsung monte from ebay. He would like to be able to connect to our home wireless internet. I was able to connect my samsung glaxy without any problems, just needed to enter the password, but not sure how to do it on my son's phone. When I search for wifi connections it is bringing up three possibilities, one of which I believe is mine.
