Negotiating a new car - advice needed please!

Thanks for the replies!
Sorry for the confusion - when I say 'sorted the finance' I mean that I've decide which finance option I'm going for. Nothing has been signed yet, I have made no agreement of any sort to buy the car.
I did try using the Drive the Deal website the other day but couldn't get it to work.
I've found this elsewhere on the Internet, so was hoping I could use it as a negotiating tool. (Just found out I'm not allowed to post links but it is www. new fiat 500 . co . uk with no spaces!) The price is cheaper and it includes real parking sensors, fog lights, auto climate control and a leather steering wheel, all of which cost extra with the dealer.
Do you think it would be ok just to show him a copy of the above page ad? I've also tried contact the Internet company to try and get something more official from them, like a finance break down or something.
Thanks again.0 -
Try this link http://www.drivethedeal.com/buy-a-new-car/fiat/500+hatchback+special+editions/index.html
You had to chose the special editions on Fiat 500 list0 -
Forget it, I could only get DTD to quote on a diesel 500 and there was no discount.0

I once bought a new car for considerably less than the dealer paid for it. He was happy though because he made money in the long run.
Indeed, but my local dealer is very small, 1 sales man 2 workshop spaces 12 used skodas and 20 other cars for sale. So I can't imagine that he is getting huge target bonuses from Skoda. Buy using DTD I accessed the dealer that did have the volume to offer the best price.0 -

I would ask him to match that deal.
I would also phone a.n.other Fiat dealers and ask for their best price on the spec you want. Be honest and business like, "I have an offer (but not how much) and I am shopping around for a better deal". You will get contact details for all Fiat dealers on the Fiat website. I bought a car from a dealer 100 miles away, they were happy to delivered it to me @ no charge.
Ask the dealer when he can deliver, don't accept vague promises "We will do our best blah blah". With a popular car like this, you may have to search around for a dealer who has one in stock or on pre-order.
Be careful, some online sites quote for vehicles and cannot deliver quickly. I would rather deal with dealers than pay a middle man.
Be careful with PCP, check they small print carefully. Some have onerous T&Cs and horendous charges if you exceed the agreed mileage.
