The rates are published by the Association of British Insurers are an agreed rate by subscribing Insurers and Credit Hire Companies to try and minimise disputes (Before these CH companies would try and charge what they like)

I would never have known how to find this information, I was just going to say the cost was too much in my argument to them, but it is fantastic that you guys have directed me to something I can refer to within the guidelines they are governed by.

They may have added other charges to the bill they have sent you, hence why asking for a SAR is a good idea also a full break down of their charges would be a good idea
