  • Not much help to the OP however I also have the misfortune to own a BEKO washing machine which developed a fault within 6 weeks of delivery. Customer services went to great lengths to avoid sending an engineer and finally did so with dire warnings that if the diagnostics showed I was wrong about the machine being faulty it would cost me well over £100 in call out fees, fuel costs etc. They told me I was probably overloading the machine (it wouldn't spin) or underloading and that I should have a set of scales for weighing each load as I put it in. What c**p.

    When the engineer arrived he told me never to buy another BEKO - he said I would be very fortunate to get any more than a year out of the machine and was likely to have numerous service calls during that year. On the bright side he said the washing machines were marginally better than the fridge freezers which were possibly the worst appliance on the planet.

    He fitted a complete new control panel (6th one he'd done that week and it was only Tuesday!) and told me to be ready to do battle every tiome I had to deal with the idiots at Customer Service.

    When one of their own engineers tells you to stay away it really says it all.
    NO FARMS = NO FOOD
  • oh i forgot to post back when arrived theere was a covering letting saying that the PART not machine is covered by another 12months warrenty!
