OSB aka Orientated Strand Board aka Sterling board

Logs are put into a huge mincer and then the flakes are glued back together to form sheets of the board

It's fairly cheap, and usually comes in 9mm, 12mm, 18mm thick. The 9mm is about £9.50 for an 8x4 sheet, and 12mm a pound or two more.

You have to watch, some OSB is 2400x1200, some is 2440x1220


It's good for shed roofs so long as you use decent quality felt and it's well sealed. If the board gets wet it acts like a sponge, doubles in thickness/weight, and looses most of it's strength

From Monday onwards, there's high pressure moving in so you should get around 4 full days of hot sunshine next week. As long as you cover it overnight to protect from the dew it should dry out.

Cheers for that , we have got everything we need so hopefully we will be able to do it depending on the good old british weather:eek:by next weekend.
